Make your own beer tankard whilst sipping on some delicious craft beers at The Well in Kemptown, Brighton!

Dreamt of sipping on craft beer whilst making your very own beer tankard?? Well why not join the crew at The Well & Romud ceramics for some pottery fun

All abilities welcome!!

Feel at home in this informal environment where you can explore pottery whether you're an experienced potter or an absolute beginner. Ros will be pottering around & assisting with your wonderful creations.

The workshop will be held at The Well in Kemptown! They have an amazing selection of quality brews to get your creative juices flowing!

Time?: 6.30pm - 9pm

Where?: 102 St George‘s Road, Kemptown, Brighton

All materials & tools are provided for you to create your masterpiece

All tools, aprons and materials will be provided- we recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting clay on!

After the workshop, Ros will take away the pots to her studio at Robertson’s Yard, Brighton where she will glaze and fire so the pots become functional vessel- The pots should be ready within 3 weeks

What do you need to bring?

  • We advise you wear clothes you don’t mind getting clay on 

  • Make sure you have short nails for the session. This makes potting easier!

Get creative with your little one and explore the wonderful & tactile world of clay!

Come join us at the Wrap Play Cafe to Play With Clay!

Ros from Romud Ceramics will be guiding you both through basic handbuilding techniques to create your very own ceramic vessel. Through this engaging session you will learn traditional techniques to form & decorate your creations. You will be provided with stoneware clay to create 2 unique small vessels. 

Never tried pottery before? No problem- there is no experience necessary. All abilities welcome!!

What to expect: 1.5hr workshop, a demo of handbuilding techniques & time to explore/ create your creations with your family with the help & guidance from Ros.

Price?: £37 per parent & child + £15 for any additional child (this price include materials and firing costs)

Mothering Day- Vase & Brunch Workshop

Treat your loved one this Mothering Day to a relaxed & creative Sunday afternoon at Romud ceramics.

Over the course of two hours Ros will take you through the process of hand building your very own vase using the ancient coiling method. Ros will demonstrate various decorating techniques such as handles, embellishments & the use of coloured slip- add your own personal flair and get creative!

‘But I’ve never done pottery or touched clay in my life!?’ No worries we got you! This workshop is perfect for absolute beginners to advanced potters. 

What’s included?

  • Drink on arrival, refreshments and nibbles throughout the session 

  • Clay, aprons, tools and firing with the Romud house glaze

Jingle All The Clay

Come for some creative festive fun with ceramicists Ros and Cherry at their artist studio, where you can paint and decorate your own unique Christmas tree ornaments with other would-be elves. 

They'll be so eye-catching Santa and his reindeers will want to steal them off the tree (bad santa!). 

In this 2.5 hour workshop you will be provided with expert knowledge to guide you through the creative steps of decorating 6 ceramic decorations (lovingly handcrafted by Cherry and Ros) using an array of fun colours and techniques. Don't worry, you don't need to be Picasso! 

During the session there will be an offering of mulled wine and mince pies to get you into the festive season! (non-alcoholic beverages too!) 

The workshop will run from 3pm to 5.30pm on Saturday 20th November and Saturday 4th December.
