2hr Pottery Wheel Throwing Taster (16yrs+only)

Time/Day: 10am-12pm Saturday

Cost: £65

This course will guide you through the foundations of wheel throwing and provide you with the skills to develop your practice.

There will be a max 4 students in the class with your own dedicated wheel so lots of 1:1 tuition. no experience required!

This is perfect for absolute beginners who would like to try the wheel before committing to a full course.

By the end of the course you will walk away with pieces which you have learnt to throw on the wheel yourself!

Course includes:

• Learn basic throwing techniques

• Practical fun on the pottery wheel!

• Glazing and firing by Romud

At the end of the session you can take home up to 2 finished pieces which will be ready for collection within 3-4 weeks

Refund Policy

This course must be booked and paid in full.

These sessions are non-refundable however you can transfer to another guest.

If for any reason the tutor is unable to run the course you will be refunded in full.

Absence during the course

Rescheduling of sessions do not apply to this workshop due to small class sizes

We run a 6 week beginners intro to pottery including hand building & pottery wheel basics. This is basically the EVERYTHING course. Perfect for beginners! (16yrs+only)

This is limited to 6 people within the class so lots of guidance for all students :)

To enable us to get your pots fired in time for the glazing session we have a gap between the 5th & 6th sessions

This include all tuition, clay, tools, materials & refreshments inc biscuits 😉

Additional firing costs at £16 per kilo of work (includes bisc and glaze firing costs)

It will be held at my studio in Robertson’s Yard- BN15NJ. Through the yellow doors with the metal Robertson’s Yard sign. Close to Preston Park Station.

Limited street parking available.

• Practical fun with hand building pottery & on the pottery wheel

• Learn basic Glazing and firing

At the end of the course you can take home up to 6 finished pieces which will be ready for collection within 3 weeks depending on the weather!

Unfortunately, because of limited space we're unable to offer full refunds for cancellations, however we do understand that life gets in the way sometimes. If you wish to cancel you will be refunded as follow:

Any cancellation includes a 10% admin fee.

If you cancel up to to 3 weeks before the class - 80% refund.

If you cancel 2 week before the class - 40% refund.

Cancellations after this period will not be refunded.

If you can’t attend you may transfer the booking to another name. No refunds will be available if you fail to attend.

You may not transfer from one class to another.

If the tutor is unable to run a particular session I will arrange a catch up session as agreed with the rest of the group.

If for any reason the tutor is unable to run the course you will be refunded in full.

Learn how to throw repetitive , complex, off the hump and lidded forms and much more! (16yrs+only)

Knowledge about studio set-up & safety

Knowledge out clay, tools & equipment

Ability to throw & turn with 2kg or more confidently
