Ros has had a passion for ceramics since her high school and university days, but it was a transformative 3-hour pottery wheel workshop in 2018 that truly ignited her love for the craft.
Initially, ceramics served as an escape from the digital world, providing a therapeutic outlet to unwind and create after long hours in commercial interior design. As a self-taught potter, Ros honed her skills by immersing herself in countless instructional videos and learning from fellow potters in communal studios.
Ros believes that ceramics is for everyone and is eager to share her knowledge and passion with others. Drawing inspiration from her background in architectural design, her creations celebrate the joy of food and the art of bringing people together. Some pieces are made from wild clays foraged from the UK, adding a unique touch to her work.

Ceramic Technician
Dani discovered pottery while searching for a hobby that could easily fit into her life, help her meet new people, balance family responsibilities, and provide a creative outlet from her advertising job.
Living in London, she found the perfect fit at an independent pottery studio, sparking a passion for ceramics. After taking a few courses and learning from talented potters in the studio, she became so captivated that she recently quit her job to pursue pottery full-time.
Now, having relocated to Chichester, Dani works as a studio technician at Romud and runs the open studio. Her favourite things to create are mugs, and she loves trimming pots! !

Ceramic workshop assistant
Alys first got caught up in the throws of ceramics ;) by taking Ros' 6-week Introduction to Pottery course. It was love at first throw.
Alys is continuing her ceramics training as a workshop assistant at Romud Studio, where you can find her assisting on taught courses, helping out with open studio sessions, and fist bumping Murphy. She loves the buzz of the studio filled with new potters figuring out their favourite building methods and individual style of making.

Ceramic Teacher and technician
Cherry started spinning the wheel back in 2016. As soon as she touched the clay she knew she had found what she was looking for... a new medium to work with, that was the complete opposite of sitting at a computer all day.
As well as tutoring, she works as a transformation/career transition coach and is intrigued by the idea of the flow state, so much so she is co-founder of Make It Flow Festival, a one day annual event based around arts, craft and wellbeing workshops, designed to help people find their own flow and new hobbies.
Cherry makes functional pottery that features bright and colourful underglazes to create crazy patterns and uniformed repeats. She loves to share experience with beginners and those looking to advance their new found ceramic skills.

Mud enthusiast, thread/dream weaver & tutor
Sophie has over 20 years of experience as an artist, maker and technical demonstrator. She received her studio pottery training back in 2000 in Vancouver, Canada, under ceramicist Sarah Coote. In 2005 she moved to the UK and worked as studio assistant for production potter, Arnold Rose. Sophie has been developing her practice in Brighton for the past 6 years, with a main focus on large classical form and slip decoration. Her latest collection explores repetition and motifs found in basketry and weaving.
Fun facts:
She has helped build the costumes for the Masked Singer television show, edited a music video for Chris DeBurgh, appeared on breakfast television after the health secretary to demonstrate to the nation how to make a mask out of a T-shirt.

Princess is a London based ceramist and teacher who left her career as a pastry chef in 2019 on a whim. Following her bucket list of hobbies to ‘try before I die’ she landed on the doorstep of Master
Potter Chris Bramble who took a chance on her and taught her the craft. She has worked as a
technician for the past six years and has been teaching for the past two and a half.
Her absolute favourite pots to throw are vases as she feels that they are limitless in their forms and sizes. Princess’ work draws inspiration from the forms and architecture found in the world blending together textures to create vessels almost feel alive.

Demolition expert/ reverse air purifier
You will find Murphy weaving around workshops eating clay scraps and demanding pats. He is quiet loud but its just his way of saying hello- Beware of the endless licks!
